This thread is for people who are interested to join the Followers of Light and/or want to find out some basic and important information about us.
The basic information about the Followers of Light:
Website: FoL Website with all the information about the kinship. The website will be constantly updated.
Forum: FoL Forum represents the best way of communication between members, kinship and its friends, and between kinship and interested potential candidates, also it will be used to discuss kinship matters, role-play and strategy, or simply for talking about common topics and interests.
You may use the FoL E-mail to get in contact with us.
Alignment and Goals: The kinship as its name says is orientated towards good and the light side. The kinship is bound to a common cause under the name Followers of Light. Our obligation is to give help, assistance, support and refuge to anybody who is in need, to stand by our friends when there are in trouble and need our support, to protect all the land from the darkness and its destructive servants, and to clines as much of Middle-earth as possible from evil so the long-lasting peace is possible.
Organization:
The kinship will be organized into four Orders.
The Followers of Light are among the first Kinships to have a Charter setting down the organization of the Kinship, and rights and duties of its members. The Followers of Light are also the first Kinship to have such an extensive and detailed document.
How to join our kinship:
If you want to join our kinship filed application has to be posted on our thread, posted on our forum or sent by e-mail to the kinships address.
After the application is received and reviewed a confirmation will be sent stating the procedure of joining the kinship. You should be (hopefully) contacted within few days about the trial and than after a week (more or less depending on the case) you will be aware of the decision of the Grand Council.

When LotRO Forums close for reasons of reorganizing Followers of Light Kinship members should direct their posting activity to FoL Forum, FoL Arda Post Thread, FoL LotRO Source Thread, FoL Lord of the Rings Online OGaming Website Thread , and/or FoL Codemaster Thread.
From the day FoL has been founded (February 6th, 2005) to the day LotRO Forum is being reorganized (May 8th, 2006) we have established our Kinship on solid basis, celebrated our first anniversary, had our ups and downs, held our first general elections, gained some new quality members, lost some of our members, and by LotRO Forum statistics we are the second ranking Kinship by the number of post (4,533 posts; EoI being first with 6,258 posts), second ranking Kinship by number of views of our thread (42,907 views; EoI being first with 101,102 views), and the first ranking Kinship by thread rating (134 votes, and 3,64 average; Iron Guard being the second with 103 votes, and an 3,58 average).

Ok...like what? I'm currently in the final stages of planning for the history portion. But what other things are you talking about? |
